The Point

We here at the CHS Junior Classical League are all about having fun while passing on the torch of classics, and the ideals thereof, to the modern world. Through hosting and participating at events that support the culture of the classical civilizations we continue the legacy of those who brought us democracy, republicanism, French, Spanish, Italian and many more languages, and also Gladiator, Troy and 300.

The What

The CHS JCL participates in a variety of events every year. Every year we attend Fall forum, which is a smaller, one day version of State Convention (see below); we sponsor service projects, such as toga bowling fundraisers; we attend Saturnalia, a recreational gathering of several JCLs; and we participate in State Convention, three days of competition and communion between clubs from across the state.

The Who

The CHS JCL, like most clubs, is run by a board of officers. Each and every officer is dedicated to their job and would gladly help you if you have any questions. A more detailed list of the officers, their jobs, contact information is available on the Club Officers Page.

The Community

The Catholic High School JCL is part of an even bigger community of Classical leagues. There are the State and National Classical leagues which, as the name implies, sponsor events between clubs across the State and Country respectively.
